VT Reedle Shot

What is it?

A uniquely powerful addition to your skincare routine, VT Cosmetics’ Reedle Shot utilises state-of-the-art Cica Reedle™ technology to tackle dull, ageing skin, visibly improving skin texture and tone. These Cica-coated microneedles, 14 times smaller than pores, help to open up absorption pathways in your skin, maximising the ability of active ingredients to penetrate deep into skin, where they are most effective. These microneedles also work to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and remove impurities from pores, leaving your complexion luminous and healthy-looking.

What are the standout ingredients?

No surprises here – the star of the show is the Cica Reedle™microneedle technology. These reedles, also known as “spicules” after their fine, toothpick-like shape, are made with purified Hydrolysed Sponge and coated in VT’s soothing Cica complex to give irritated or compromised skin a little extra help along the way.

These reedles work on the top layer of the epidermis, the stratum corneum, rather than acting on the lower layers of the skin. When applied, they form microchannels in the skin surface through tiny, pin-prick tears, which both speeds up skin regeneration and allows active ingredients, subsequently applied, to penetrate deeper into the dermis, where they’ll be most effective. The reedles also help to gently physically exfoliate clogged skin, leaving your complexion looking rejuvenated and feeling noticeably smoother – professional-grade effects you can see after the very first use!

The formula also contains a Cica-Hyalon Complex, which contains 4 derivatives of Centella Asiatica and 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid to soothe irritation and reinforce the skin barrier, for a healthier complexion.

The Reedle Shot, of course, is driven by its Cica Reedle™ technology, which helps to stimulate skin cell turnover and boost the effectiveness of the rest of the ingredients in your routine. The formula also contains a Cica-Hyalon Complex to soothe and strengthen skin, an Amino Acid Complex to provide hydration and barrier care, and low-molecular-weight Sodium Hyaluronate to hydrate and plump up skin.

VT Reedle Shot Vita-Light Eye Cream

What is it?

This combination eye cream and beauty-tech device combines a Vitamin-C-rich formula, VT’s Cica Reedle™ technology, and an ultra-effective vibrating applicator to boost absorption, making it a next-generation skincare product ideal for tackling complexions made dry, dull, and rough by the stressors of modern life.

What are the standout ingredients?

Honestly, what isn’t a standout in this formula? Aside from the Cica Reedle™ technology, discussed above, this eye cream contains a whole host of ultra-powerful ingredients to enliven fatigued and stressed-out skin. 

First up, there’s high-quality Vitamin C in the form of Ascorbic Acid, to fade pigmentation, stimulate skin collagen production, and defend the skin against free-radical damage. This is supplemented by a synergistic blend of ingredients that enhance the effects of Vitamin C: 100,000ppm Niacinamide, to improve skin tone and support the skin barrier, Vitamin E (as Tocopherol, Vitamin E’s most biologically active form), to provide softness and moisture, and Glutathione, to brighten and inhibit melanin production. 

As if that weren’t enough, this cream also contains another patented complex, Melazero®V2: a highly effective brightening agent that incorporates Nobel-prize-winning principles (!), Melazero®V2 is a blend of Arisaema Amurense Extract, Decyl Glucoside, and 1,2-Hexanediol that works to disaggregate existing pigment in the skin while inhibiting melanin production and keeping new dark spots from forming.

Super popular in Korea, Japan, and China, the gel-like Cica Cream remains one of the brand’s bestselling products. Ideal for soothing skin that’s been irritated by fine dust, city-life pollution, or anything else that might cause a flare-up, this cream uses a layering moisture system to help fortify the skin’s natural moisture barrier and maintain its optimal oil-water balance, for increased resilience against external irritants and a smoother skin texture. The slightly green hue of the product also helps to balance redness in the complexion, leaving it looking healthy and even-toned.

The formula for this moisturiser might not be as high-tech as the ones we’ve looked at so far, but that’s part of its charm – simple, nourishing ingredients combined in effective ways. 

The hero ingredient, VT’s proprietary CICALIAO™ complex, is a blend of Centella Asiatica, 4 Centella derivatives, and Green Propolis Extract, which work together to soothe irritation, reinforce the skin barrier function, and strengthen delicate skin. Also included in the formula is a synergistic blend of 3 skin-boosting mainstays: Beta-Glucan, to protect and moisturise, Panthenol, to calm and hydrate, and Ceramide NP, to fortify the skin moisture barrier.
